Caught! Man Who Handed Teller Note in Lake Ronkonkoma TD Bank Robbery Has Been Charged

A Lake Ronkonkoma man was arrested Friday in connection with a TD Bank robbery that occurred one week earlier, Suffolk County police said.

Sage Arias-Brown, 33, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was charged by Major Case Unit detectives with third-degree robbery, according to police.

The robbery happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Friday, May 8, at TD Bank, located at 474 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, police said.

According to police, a man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied, and the man fled on foot, authorities said.

Police announced the arrest on May 15. Arias-Brown was scheduled to be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct before arraignment Saturday, May 16, at First District Court in Central Islip.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
