Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a 41-year-old woman wanted in connection with an incident in North Lawrence.
Police identified the woman as Shantel Jacobs. Authorities said she is wanted for second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
Jacobs is described as a Black woman with black hair and brown eyes. Police said she is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
The Nassau County Police Department said anyone with information about her whereabouts can send a message to the department, which will be forwarded anonymously.
Authorities warned the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain Jacobs. Anyone who sees her or has information is urged to contact police.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
