Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a case in Garden City involving alleged tampering with physical evidence.
Police said Alparslan Korkmaz, 28, is wanted on an allegation of tampering with physical evidence involving concealment or destruction of evidence. The incident was reported in Garden City.
According to Nassau County police, Korkmaz is described as a white male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 210 pounds.
Authorities urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to send a message, noting that tips will be forwarded anonymously.
Police said members of the public should not attempt to apprehend or detain him and should contact law enforcement instead.
As with all criminal matters, the allegation has not been proven in court, and Korkmaz is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
