CENTEREACH, N.Y. — Suffolk County police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a man accused of stealing merchandise from a Target store in South Setauket last month.
According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, the theft occurred at approximately 6:33 p.m. on March 29 at the Target located at 265 Pond Path. Authorities said the suspect took assorted home goods and grocery items without paying. The total value of the merchandise was estimated at $370.
Charges and Investigation
The case is being investigated as petit larceny, a misdemeanor under New York law. Police have not released a description of the suspect but are seeking assistance from the public to move the investigation forward.
