Trek Long Island has announced that Dan Jeannotte, known to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds fans as Sam Kirk, will be joining the lineup for Trek Long Island 2026, taking place June 12-14, 2026. Jeannotte will appear on both Saturday and Sunday, ready to meet fans, talk Trek, and share stories from the set of the hit Paramount+ series.
Before he was exploring strange new worlds, Jeannotte was charming viewers on Earth, starring in a long list of romantic TV movies and series where his quick wit and charisma made him a fan favorite. Honestly, we can almost picture Sam Kirk running a holodeck simulation or two based on those storylines.
This year’s convention is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, celebrating every corner of the Star Trek universe, from the Original Series to Strange New Worlds with cosplay contests, themed panels, and enough merch to fill a starship cargo bay.
Trek Long Island 2026 is boldly going where few conventions have gone before. Set for June 12–14, 2026, the event will embrace the playful theme “What Happens on Risa,” inspired by the Federation’s famed pleasure planet where rest and recreation are the prime directives. The lineup is already turning heads, with appearances by Deep Space Nine’s Nana Visitor, Voyager’s Musetta Vander, and The Next Generation’s Jennifer Hetrick and Deirdre Imershein — each bringing their own connection to Trek’s lighter, more romantic side.
