Selden Pedestrian Killed in Middle Country Road Crash; Police Seek Anyone With Information

Suffolk County Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed a pedestrian on Middle Country Road in Selden Thursday night.

Police said a man was walking in front of 761 Middle Country Road when he was struck by a westbound 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML350 at approximately 9:34 p.m. on May 7.

The SUV was being driven by Clarissa Macioce, 50, of St. James, according to police. She was not injured in the crash.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released pending notification of family members, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the Mercedes was impounded for a safety check as part of the ongoing investigation.

Sixth Squad detectives are asking anyone who may have information about the crash to contact them at 631-854-8652.
