Nassau County police are searching for a 14-year-old girl who was last seen leaving her Hempstead residence on Sunday, July 26.
Shanda Watkins was last seen at approximately 8:30 p.m., according to the Nassau County Police Department’s Missing Persons Squad. Her disappearance was reported to police at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.
Detectives said Watkins may have traveled to Queens.
She is described as a Black girl who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes. Police did not provide a description of the clothing she was wearing.
