Police Seek Man Who Robbed Commack Chase Bank

Suffolk County police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of robbing a Chase Bank in Commack after handing a teller a note demanding cash.

The robbery happened Aug. 14 at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the Chase Bank at 39 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Major Case Unit detectives.

Police said the man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied, and the man fled the bank on foot.

Suffolk County police issued a Crime Alert on Aug. 20 seeking help identifying the man. The alert included an image of the person detectives are seeking in connection with the robbery.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip by calling Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS, using the P3 Tips mobile app or visiting P3Tips.com.

Police said all tips will be kept confidential.
