SAYVILLE, N.Y. — Suffolk County police are seeking a man accused of stealing a suitcase containing clothing and personal belongings from outside a Sayville Stop & Shop.
Police said the theft occurred July 22 at approximately 6:30 p.m. outside the supermarket at 197 North Main St.
The man allegedly took the suitcase and fled on foot westbound toward Lincoln Avenue. Police said the suspect is believed to reside in the Sayville area.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fifth Precinct Crime Section investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the man.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
