Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a 23-year-old man wanted in connection with a violation of county probation.
Police identified the wanted individual as Jahlon Smith. The department listed Hempstead as the location of the incident.
Smith is described as a Black man who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, police said.
Authorities warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain Smith.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Nassau County police by sending a message through the department’s official social media accounts. Police said messages will be forwarded anonymously.
