Nassau County police are investigating an attempted residential burglary reported early Saturday morning in North Woodmere.
Fourth Squad detectives said officers responded to a home on Plainfield Lane at about 4:27 a.m. Aug. 29 after receiving a report of a possible burglary.
Investigators determined that unknown subjects attempted to enter the residence but were unable to get inside, police said. The subjects fled in an unknown direction.
Police did not release descriptions of the subjects or provide additional details about how they allegedly tried to enter the home.
The investigation is ongoing.
