Nassau Police Seek Man Wanted on Grand Larceny, Shoplifting Charge

Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a shoplifting case tied to a grand larceny charge.

Police identified the suspect as Abe Christian, 27, who is wanted for shoplifting and fourth-degree grand larceny involving property valued at more than $1,000. The incident location was listed by police as Manasset.

According to the department’s Mugshot Monday notice, Christian is described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes. Police said he is 5-foot-6 and weighs about 140 pounds.

Authorities did not release additional details about the alleged theft in the notice.

Nassau County police are urging anyone with information on Christian’s whereabouts to send them a message. The department said messages will be forwarded anonymously.

Police also warned the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain him and to contact law enforcement instead.

As with all criminal matters, a charge or wanted notice is an allegation, and the suspect is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
