A Queens woman was arrested Friday after Suffolk County police investigated a Ronkonkoma massage parlor, authorities said.
Jiao Wang, 36, of Flushing, Queens, was arrested at Sakura Bliss Spa, located at 856 Portion Road, Unit 5, at about 6:35 p.m. June 5, police said.
Suffolk County police said Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted the investigation with the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal, Building Inspector and Investigator.
Wang, an employee at the business, was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, police said.
Town of Brookhaven officials also deemed the business unsafe, citing unsafe equipment, an unlawful structure and conditions unfit for human occupancy, according to police.
Wang was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
Police said a criminal charge is an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
