A 23-year-old Brentwood man was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly forcing his way into an occupied Farmingdale home and refusing to leave, Nassau County police said.
Marcus Wilkinson was arrested following the incident, which occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. Oct. 17 at a residence on Melville Road.
According to police, Wilkinson began banging on the front door of the home, where a 42-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man were inside. The residents did not know Wilkinson and told him to leave.
Instead, Wilkinson allegedly entered the gated backyard and forced his way into the home through a rear door. Once inside, he argued with the residents and refused to leave, police said.
Responding officers arrested Wilkinson without further incident. He was transported to a hospital for evaluation, and no injuries were reported at the scene.
Wilkinson was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass. He was scheduled for arraignment Sunday, Oct. 18, at First District Court in Hempstead.
