Suffolk County police are searching for two women accused of stealing approximately $880 from an employee at Giunta’s Meat Farms in Middle Island during a sleight-of-hand scam last month.
According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, the women took the money while purchasing groceries at the store, located at 1235 Middle Country Road, on Sept. 23 at approximately 5:22 p.m.
Investigators believe the same women may have stolen additional cash from an employee at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, located at 323 Middle Country Road, earlier that day.
Police released surveillance images of the women and are asking the public for help identifying and locating them.
