A Yonkers man has pleaded guilty to stabbing a 38-year-old man in the neck at a Babylon residence, causing injuries that severed the victim’s trachea and esophagus, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Robert Brozowski, 35, pleaded guilty Sept. 24 to first-degree assault in connection with the August 2025 stabbing. He is expected to be sentenced to 18 years in prison on Oct. 28.
Prosecutors said Brozowski did not previously know the victim before becoming involved in an argument with him at the Babylon residence.
During the confrontation, Brozowski stabbed the man in the neck, prosecutors said. The wound severed the victim’s trachea and esophagus and required extensive emergency surgery.
Brozowski fled the scene in a pickup truck, according to prosecutors. Suffolk County police later located the vehicle and took him into custody after attempting to stop him.
At the time of the stabbing, Brozowski was on probation for a domestic-violence felony conviction in New Jersey, prosecutors said.
