Suffolk County police are searching for a man who robbed a Chase Bank in Commack Friday afternoon after handing a teller a note demanding cash, authorities said.
The robbery happened at approximately 4:45 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Chase Bank at 39 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway.
Police said the man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled the bank on foot.
Police described the suspect as a white man between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8. He was wearing sunglasses, a white dress shirt, black pants and black shoes.
He also wore a baseball cap that police said may have had a camouflage pattern.
Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating the robbery.
