Nassau County police are seeking a 31-year-old woman accused of shoplifting property valued at more than $3,000 in Elmont.
Deanna Belmonte is wanted on a charge of third-degree grand larceny, according to a Nassau County Police Department “Mugshot Monday” notice.
Police did not identify the business involved, specify what was allegedly taken or provide the date of the incident.
Belmonte is described as a white woman who is approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Police said she has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Belmonte’s whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. The department said messages containing tips will be forwarded anonymously.
Police warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain her.
