Lynbrook Teen Kelly Morrissey Missing for 42 Years After Disappearing During Walk Home

More than four decades after she vanished, the disappearance of Kelly Morrissey remains one of Long Island’s enduring unsolved missing persons cases.

Kelly Morrissey was 15 years old when she disappeared from Lynbrook on June 12, 1984. She is now 57 years old.

According to authorities, Kelly was last seen at approximately 10 p.m. near the corner of Earl Avenue and Merrick Road in Lynbrook. She had been returning home when she vanished.

At the time of her disappearance, Kelly was wearing a pink sleeveless sweatshirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a gold chain with a charm. She also had pierced ears.

Investigators said Kelly was last seen after leaving her home that evening and never returned. Despite extensive efforts over the years, she has never been located. Nassau County police continue to investigate the case.

Kelly’s photo has been age-progressed to show what she may look like as an adult. Authorities believe someone may still have information that could help solve the decades-old mystery.
