Bay Shore Man Previously Sought on Child Support Warrant Arrested by Suffolk Sheriff’s Office

A Bay Shore man who was previously sought by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office on a child support warrant has been taken into custody.

The Sheriff’s Office announced that Edwin Castro Aguilar, 27, was arrested on June 8, 2026, on a Family Court bench warrant related to Article 4 child support proceedings.

Castro Aguilar had been featured as part of the Sheriff’s Office’s Fugitive Friday initiative, which highlights individuals wanted on outstanding warrants. Authorities had said he was wanted on a Family Court warrant issued May 13, 2026, for failure to pay child support under Article 4 of the Family Court Act.

At the time, investigators described Castro Aguilar as 5-foot-10 and approximately 280 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was known to have ties to the Bay Shore and Islip areas, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Castro Aguilar was arrested on June 8 on the outstanding Family Court bench warrant.

No additional information about the arrest was immediately released.
