Two women were arrested Tuesday after Nassau County police said an undercover investigation uncovered prostitution and unauthorized professional services at a Valley Stream spa.
According to the Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad, detectives conducted an investigation at Dream Spa, located at 230 West Merrick Road, on May 5 at approximately 4:10 p.m. Police said investigators determined that illegal services were being offered by employees inside the business.
Authorities arrested Qingyun Luo, 46, of Flushing, and Jiewen Wang, 32, of Oakland Gardens, without incident.
Police said Luo was charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession and Prostitution. After her arrest, she was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for removal proceedings.
Wang was also charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession and Prostitution. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court on May 22.
The investigation remains ongoing.
