Nassau THC Bust Ends in Arrest at Jericho Turnpike Shop

A woman was arrested Wednesday evening after Nassau County police said investigators uncovered illegal THC sales at a Jericho Turnpike shop in Bellerose.

According to the Nassau County Police Department’s Narcotics/Vice Squad, detectives conducted an investigation at a business located at 244-08 Jericho Turnpike and determined that tetrahydrocannabinol, commonly known as THC, was being sold at the location.

Police arrested Jaspira K. Thomas, 31, without incident at approximately 6 p.m. on May 6.

Authorities said the Town of Hempstead Buildings Department later secured the property following the arrest.

Thomas is charged with Attempted Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.

She was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, May 7, 2026, at First District Court in Hempstead.

The investigation remains ongoing.
