According to the Nassau County Police Department, the incidents occurred between Thursday, April 30 and early Friday, May 1. Homicide detectives confirmed the cases are connected and involve the same suspect.

Police said the first victim was discovered in Island Park shortly after midnight Friday. Authorities later determined a second victim had been fatally stabbed hours earlier at a residence on West Mineola Avenue in Valley Stream.
