Police Hunt Brewski Bandit After Smithtown Walgreens Beer Theft

The case of beer stolen from a Smithtown store remains open and police are looking for your help in apprehending the brewski bandit.

A Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing merchandise from a store in Smithtown late last year.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on November 12, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m. at Walgreens, located at 10 W. Main St. Police said the suspect entered the store and took beer before leaving without paying.

The case is being investigated by Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers, who are working to identify and locate the individual involved.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Officials are urging anyone who may have information to come forward.
