Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with an assault in Long Beach.
Authorities identified the suspect as Matthew Michelman, 29, who is wanted for third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury. The incident occurred in Long Beach, according to police.
Michelman is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 370 pounds.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault, but the charge indicates authorities believe the suspect intentionally caused physical harm or attempted to do so.
Anyone with information about Michelman’s whereabouts is urged to contact Nassau County police. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
Police cautioned the public not to attempt to approach or detain the suspect.
