Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a woman wanted in connection with an identity theft case in Garden City South.
Police said Erica Perez, 41, is wanted for Identity Theft in the First Degree, a Class D felony. Authorities listed the location of the incident as Garden City South.
Perez is described by police as a Hispanic woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5-foot-2 and weighs about 140 pounds.
Police said the public should not attempt to apprehend or detain her. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. Authorities said messages can be forwarded anonymously.
As with all criminal allegations, a charge is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
