Twenty-one dogs were removed from a Manorhaven dog boarding business after police said they found the animals in various stages of neglect.
Nassau County police said officers responded at 10:44 p.m. Sept. 7 to 144 Shore Road, a commercial property being used as a dog boarding business, following a report of sick animals.
After officers gained access to the building, they found 21 dogs that police said were in various stages of neglect.
Someone on Facebook has posted videos of the facility including when animal control officers seem to be releasing dogs from the property. See below for the videos.
Town of North Hempstead Animal Control responded and removed all 21 dogs from the property.
The Nassau County SPCA and Nassau police Sixth Squad detectives also responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. Police did not announce any arrests or charges.
