Nassau County police issued a wanted notice for Steven Tiripicchio in connection with a Lynbrook cocaine possession case, but state court records show a warrant in that case was executed Aug. 4.
Police identified Tiripicchio as a 44-year-old man wanted for fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The department warned the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain him.
Court records identify the related case as stemming from a March 25 incident and arrest by the Lynbrook Police Department.
Tiripicchio is charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with court records identifying the substance as cocaine hydrochloride. He also faces several vehicle and traffic allegations, including operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, failing to surrender a license or registration, operating without insurance and operating without an inspection certificate.
He pleaded not guilty during a March 26 arraignment and was released with non-monetary conditions, according to court records.
A bench warrant was issued April 23 and vacated May 14. Another bench warrant was issued June 22.
The court docket states that the latest warrant was executed Aug. 4 and Tiripicchio was again released with non-monetary conditions. His next appearance in Nassau District Court is scheduled for Aug. 20.
It was not immediately clear whether the Nassau County police wanted notice was issued before the Aug. 4 warrant execution or whether police are seeking Tiripicchio in connection with another active matter.
Separate court records show Tiripicchio also has two pending misdemeanor cases.
One case stems from a Dec. 15, 2025, incident. He is charged with petit larceny, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance involving crack and littering in a public place. He pleaded not guilty.
A second case stems from a Jan. 16 incident and includes one petit larceny charge. Tiripicchio also pleaded not guilty in that case.
Both misdemeanor cases are scheduled to return to Nassau District Court on Aug. 12.
Police described Tiripicchio as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
All charges are allegations, and Tiripicchio is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
