NORTH NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y. — Nassau County police are seeking a 43-year-old man wanted in connection with a shoplifting case involving more than $1,000 worth of property in North New Hyde Park.
Police identified the wanted man as George Souter.
According to Nassau County police, Souter is wanted for fourth-degree grand larceny in connection with the alleged shoplifting incident. Police did not provide the date of the incident, the business involved or the specific property allegedly stolen.
Police described Souter as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with orange hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Souter’s whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police. The department said information sent through its social media messaging system will be forwarded anonymously.
Police warned the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain Souter.
