Another Record Fundraiser For Sci-Fi Mini-Con in 2025 For Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County

Sci-Fi Mini-Con Long Island

From noon until 5pm on Saturday, July 19th, the 4th Annual CPNassau Sci-Fi Mini-Con was held at Levittown Hall in Hicksville, a half-day event to bring together celebrities, cosplayers, vendors, and fans for a day of sci-fi fun while supporting the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.

Once again, the Sci-Fi Mini-Con built on its previous success, raising the bar.

“This year we officially raised just over $7,500 for CP Nassau which was up $1,500 from last year,” said Chris Feehan, development assistant at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, in an email to SciFiSland.com.

Last year the con raised $6,000, which was $1,000 more than the year before. The fundraising is heading into the stratosphere.

The con had an impressive lineup of guests, including members from the 501st Legion’s Empire City Garrison, Rebel Legion’s Echo Base, and Saber Guild’s Endor Temple in Star Wars costume, along with other local cosplayers like the Long Island Ghost Busters, Angel_TA2, and mcheretic / Abigail. There were raffles and prizes, vendors, and celebrity guests like Michael C. Williams from The Blair Witch Project and Catherine Mary Stewart from The Last Starfighter and cult classic, Night of the Comet. Star Trek novelist and comic book author Michael Jan Friedman was there as well as artist and author, Gina Falke.

Feehan, who is also a member of the 501st Legion’s Empire City Garrison, gave a special thanks to everyone who made the event a success.
