A 53-year-old Mineola homeowner was arrested after police responding to reports of fighting at a loud party found numerous underage attendees who said he had supplied them with alcohol, Nassau County police said.
Thomas Quinn, 53, of Mineola, was charged with violating Nassau County’s Social Host Law, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully dealing with a minor following the October 30 incident.
According to police, officers responded to 151 Fairfield Avenue at approximately 10:18 p.m. after receiving complaints about a loud party involving people fighting.
When officers arrived, they found a large gathering with numerous open and empty alcoholic beverage containers.
Police said most of the people attending the party were younger than 21. Attendees told officers that Quinn, the homeowner, had provided the alcohol and failed to intervene.
Quinn was arrested without incident, police said.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Hempstead on November 17. The Nassau County Police Department announced the arrest on October 31.
