A 30-year-old South Hempstead man has died from injuries suffered during an early-morning robbery last weekend, Nassau County police said.
Police provided an update identifying the victim as Justinn Thomas of South Hempstead.
According to detectives, officers were dispatched near May Street and Grand Avenue at about 5:27 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, following reports of a robbery that had just occurred.
Officers found Thomas suffering from head injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition.
Police said Thomas later succumbed to his injuries.
The Nassau County Police Department Homicide Squad is investigating.
