If you were looking for Eternal Con this weekend, it moved.
The Long Island comic and pop culture convention, originally scheduled for July 11 and 12 at Hofstra University, has been postponed to September 12 and 13, 2026, after organizers cited an “unforeseen event conflict” and two recent major guest cancellations.
In a June 19 Facebook announcement, Eternal Con organizers said they had made the “difficult decision” to reschedule this year’s event. The announcement said the date change was not easy, but organizers were viewing it as a “blessing in disguise” after the cancellations, which they said would have affected the experience they wanted to deliver to fans.
The show is now set for September 12 and 13 at Hofstra University in Hempstead.

“We did not want to post this until we had it approved and in writing,” organizers said in the announcement.
The change adds another wrinkle for attendees, exhibitors, artists, vendors, cosplayers, and guests who had planned around the original midsummer dates. Eternal Con’s event listing describes the convention as a weekend featuring comic books, collectibles, celebrities, artists, live performances, music, seminars, kids events, a car show, cosplay contests, vendors, and other pop culture programming.
Organizers said tickets and booth spaces already purchased for the July dates will automatically be honored for the new September dates. They also said refunds will be available upon request for attendees and exhibitors who prefer not to attend the rescheduled show.
That part may be worth double-checking directly with Eternal Con, especially for anyone who has already purchased tickets, booked vendor space, or made travel plans around the July weekend.
The convention has continued promoting the September event, including a guest announcement tied to the 40th anniversary of Big Trouble in Little China. Eternal Con announced James Pax, who played Lightning, and Donald Li, who played Eddie, as guests for the rescheduled show.
According to the convention’s announcement, more guest announcements are expected.
For now, the main thing fans need to know is simple: Eternal Con is no longer happening July 11 and 12. The new dates are September 12 and 13, 2026, at Hofstra University in Hempstead.
