A Mastic Beach man was arrested after Suffolk County police said two people were shot during an argument Monday night on Woodside Road.
Matthew McCue, 37, of 108 Woodside Road, was charged in connection with the June 1 shooting, which happened at about 10 p.m. in front of 96 Woodside Road in Mastic Beach, police said.
Police said a group of people were arguing when a man drew a handgun and fired several shots at two people involved in the dispute.
The victims, a 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were taken to local hospitals with injuries police described as non-life-threatening.
McCue was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted assault, two counts of second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.
He was scheduled to be arraigned June 3 at First District Court in Central Islip.
