Massapequa Woman Charged With Murder After Fatal Stabbing, Held Without Bail

A Massapequa woman has been charged with murder after a 28-year-old man was found fatally stabbed inside a home early Monday morning, according to Nassau County police.

The investigation began at approximately 1:30 a.m. on June 1 when Seventh Precinct officers responded to a Massapequa residence following a 911 call for an aided person.

When officers arrived, they found an unconscious 28-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police Medic.

Homicide detectives launched an investigation that led to the arrest of Kristin Sculley, 22, of Massapequa.

Police charged Sculley with second-degree murder in connection with the death. Court records show the charge was filed under New York Penal Law 125.25(1), which alleges intentional murder.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or disclosed additional details about the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

Sculley was arraigned Tuesday morning in Nassau District Court before Judge Michael W. Alpert. Court records show she pleaded not guilty and was remanded without bail.

The case was adjourned to June 4 for further proceedings.

The investigation remains ongoing.
