Woman Wanted on Child Endangerment Charge, Nassau Police Say

Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a woman wanted in connection with a child endangerment case in East Meadow.

Police identified the suspect as Ilania Rios, 29, who is wanted for allegedly acting in a manner that injured or could injure a child less than 17 years old.

According to Nassau County Police, the incident took place in East Meadow. Authorities released Rios’ information as part of the department’s ongoing “#MugshotMonday” campaign highlighting wanted individuals.

Police described Rios as a Black female with multi-color hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5-foot-4 and weighs about 200 pounds.

Investigators have not released additional details about the alleged incident or when the charge was filed.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Rios’ whereabouts not to approach or attempt to detain her. Instead, police ask the public to contact Nassau County Police with any information. Tips can be submitted anonymously.

The investigation is ongoing.
