Man Stabbed During Work Dispute at Woodmere Job Site

A Rosedale man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after allegedly stabbing a co-worker during an argument at a Woodmere job site, Nassau County police said.

According to detectives, the incident happened around 2:10 p.m. on April 28 at a residence on Woodmere Boulevard North, where two employees of Spray Foam Insulation USA became involved in a verbal dispute while working.

Police said the argument escalated when Andy Miller, 29, displayed a knife and stabbed a 49-year-old male victim in the abdomen, causing a deep laceration, and also cut him in the forearm.

Co-workers at the scene were able to disarm Miller and contacted police. Responding officers took Miller into custody without incident.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition, according to authorities.

Miller has been charged with Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.

First-degree assault is a serious felony charge in New York, typically involving the use of a deadly weapon and causing significant physical injury. If convicted, it can carry substantial prison time.

Miller is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at First District Court in Hempstead.
