Suffolk Sheriff Seeks Fugitive Accused of Owing More Than $1.5 Million in Child Support

The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a fugitive wanted on a child support warrant and a separate larceny warrant.

Authorities said Michael Simone, 54, is wanted by Family Court on an Article 4 arrest warrant for failure to pay child support. According to the sheriff’s office, Simone owes more than $1.5 million in total arrears.

Simone is also wanted on a First District Court arrest warrant for larceny that is dated October 21, 2016, officials said.

Investigators believe Simone is living out of state, but said he has ties to Holbrook and Ronkonkoma and has immediate family in both communities.

The sheriff’s office described Simone as 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. His date of birth is listed as June 7, 1971.

Anyone with information on Simone’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Warrant Squad at 631-853-5697 or email SCSOInvestigativeServices@suffolkcountyny.gov.

As with all criminal matters, the allegations and warrants are accusations, and the subject is presumed innocent unless and until proven in court.
