A Bay Shore man was cited Tuesday night after police discovered amplified music blasting from multiple concert-level speakers in a Hauppauge parking lot.
Suffolk County Police said officers responded to the parking lot at 335 Kennedy Drive at approximately 9 p.m. on March 10 after receiving several 911 calls reporting loud music being heard across parts of Smithtown and Hauppauge.
When officers arrived, they found eight concert-level speakers connected to a vehicle battery and broadcasting amplified music in violation of the Town of Smithtown’s noise ordinance.
Jose Santana, 29, an employee of Relocators, a business located in the industrial area, was cited by Town of Smithtown Public Safety officers for the noise violation.
Police seized the speakers at the scene.
