New York Comic Con 2025 Gears Up for Another Pop Culture Takeover

New York Comic Con

New York Comic Con is back this fall with a four-day fan extravaganza set for Thursday, October 9 through Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Javits Center (429 11th Ave, New York, NY 10001). Hosted by ReedPop, this annual event draws over 200,000 attendees and continues to be a must-attend experience for Long Island fans of comics, cosplay, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and gaming.

Last year alone, New York Comic Con welcomed more than 200,000 fans through the doors and generated an estimated $80 million in economic impact for New York City, underscoring just how massive this event has become for the region.

You can snag your tickets here, and for updates, celebrity announcements, and programming, check the official NYCC website.

If 2024’s New York Comic Con is any indication—with appearances by the likes of Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, and Orlando Bloom, plus panels on The Penguin, Outlander, Goosebumps, The Walking Dead Universe, What We Do in the Shadows, and Dune: Prophecy—then 2025 is already shaping up to be bigger, bolder, and even more star-studded.

The show also featured standout comic programming like Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing and the Moon Man Panel with Kid Cudi. Over 650 exhibitors and 500+ Artist Alley creators are expected to return in 2025, offering everything from indie prints to limited-edition collectibles.

And yes—cosplay will once again take center stage. The Cosplay Central Crown Championships are returning for the 2025 qualifier, drawing elite costume makers and passionate fans into the spotlight. In 2024, Patterner Cosplay took the top spot with their incredible take on Firesong K’Treva from the Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey. Runners-up included Caity Stella Cosplay as Cinderella and A Rad One Cosplay as Din Djarin from The Book of Boba Fett.

Whether you’re transforming into a Sith Lord from your Port Jeff basement or rocking a Sailor Moon look in Sayville, we want to hear from you. This year’s New York Comic Con also ties into New York City’s upcoming 400th anniversary and the 250th anniversary of the United States, with special programming through the “Founded By NYC” campaign in partnership with NYC Tourism. Expect even more panels and content that celebrate the role New York—and its fans—have played in shaping global geek culture.

“The energy and sense of community that fans bring to NYCC each year is what drives us to make it better and bolder every time,” said Kristina Rogers, VP of ReedPop’s US Comics Portfolio and Star Wars Celebration.

NYCC’s biggest panels will once again be livestreamed for free via Popverse, powered by the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game by Ravensburger, allowing fans around the world—and here on Long Island—to tune in without leaving their living rooms.
