LI TCG Show Levels Up: First Two-Day Convention Is a Smash Hit

On Saturday and Sunday, November 16th and 17th, the LI TCG Show held its first two-day show, one that gathered together the largest attendance in the show’s history with over 3,000 people coming to enjoy tournaments, vendors, panels, celebrity meet-and-greets, and of course, an almost unlimited number of ways to celebrate their love of trading card games (TCG) like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, and many more. The atmosphere at the Hilton in Melville was chock-full of excitement. Tables were everywhere with vendors hawking more cards, memorabilia, and experiences than you could find in one place anywhere else on Long Island for the TCG community.

A number of voice actors were in attendance signing autographs and taking pictures for fans including Megan Hollingshead, maybe best known as Nurse Joy in Pokemon; Erica Schroeder, the original voice of Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece; and Greg Baldwin, who gave an impromptu performance of Aku from Samurai Jack. Along with retro console games provided by Long Island Retro Gaming Expo and a sea of trading card game vendors, there were TCG tournaments, one of which featured a championship belt that would make even Jake Paul envious.
