Sci-fi and geek culture enthusiasts, mark your calendars for Saturday, July 20th, 2024, because the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County is back with its 3rd Annual Sci-Fi Mini Convention! Taking place at Levittown Hall (201 Levittown Parkway in Hicksville) from Noon to 5pm, this event promises an action-packed day filled with incredible guests, exciting activities, and a whole lot of fun – all for a fantastic cause. Sponsored by Jovia Financial Credit Union, this convention is free to attend and perfect for fans of all ages.
Meet the Stars and Experience the Magic
The convention will feature a stellar lineup of special guests:
- Catherine Mary Stewart: Beloved for her roles in The Last Starfighter, Night of the Comet, and Nightflyers.
- William Ragsdale: Known for his roles in Fright Night 1 & 2, Herman’s Head, Justified, and Renfield.
- Joe Zaso: Actor and author, recognized for Wolf Of Wall Street and Virus X, and author of Cafe Himbo.
- Shannon Michelle Collins: Author of A Dream Within a Scream, poet, and psychic medium.
- Michael Jan Friedman: Renowned Star Trek novelist and comic book author.
- Gina Falke: Artist and author of Princess Djina of Rasnov Romania and Second Chances.
- Robin Channing: Mind-bending magician and performer.
Plus, take photos with a life-size TARDIS from Doctor Who and check out movie cars like the Batmobile and DeLorean (weather permitting).
Activities and Entertainment Galore
Attendees will be delighted by appearances from members of the 501st Legion’s Empire City Garrison, The Rebel Legion’s Echo Base, and the Saber Guild’s Endor Temple, all dressed in their stunning Star Wars costumes. The Long Island Ghostbusters will also be making an appearance.

- Blast-A-Trooper: Test your aim and take on the Stormtroopers.
- Jedi Training: Perfect your lightsaber skills.
- Meet and Greet: Interact with media guests and cosplayers.
- Light Saber Demonstrations: Marvel at the skills of the Saber Guild.
