The Long Island Artificial Intelligence Conference, a one-day conference to address the role of AI in business, healthcare and research on Long Island will be held this April, hosted by the Long Island Association business association.
“At this exciting event, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from experts in the field who will share their knowledge and perspectives on artificial intelligence,” a promotion for the event says.
The conference is open to anyone: AI enthusiasts, professionals looking to stay ahead of the curve, or people who are curious about the potential of artificial intelligence.
Keynote speaker at the event will be Dr. Radhika Dirks, a tech leader shaping the future of AI. Recognized as a Forbes “Women in AI to Watch,” Dr. Dirks is among the top women driving innovation in AI. She was the CEO & founder of XLabs, where she furthered moonshot AI innovations with far-reaching impacts, including advances towards curing cancer. At Seldn, an AI startup she co-founded, she led the development of predictive technologies that accurately predicted the rise of ISIS two weeks before The New York Times coined the term. Dr. Dirks was also a founding member of Shell’s $1.5B venture capital group. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing and an M.S. in Nanotechnology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Sessions will explore the impact and integration of AI in business strategies and operations, the transformative role of AI in healthcare advancements and patient care, and delve into cutting-edge AI research and its implications for future developments.
