Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a 26-year-old man wanted in connection with an alleged assault in Bethpage.
Rajat Sharma is wanted on a charge of third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury, according to a Nassau County Police Department wanted poster.
Police described Sharma as an Asian or Pacific Islander man with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 210 pounds.
The department did not release the date or additional circumstances of the alleged assault.
Police warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain Sharma. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact police or send a message to the Nassau County Police Department. The department said messages will be forwarded anonymously.
The allegations are accusations, and Sharma is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
