Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with a weapon possession case stemming from an incident in Westbury.
According to Nassau County Police Department’s latest #MugshotMonday posting, Gustavo Salas Jimenez is wanted on a charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree involving a previous conviction.
Police said the incident occurred in Westbury.
Authorities described Salas Jimenez as a 25-year-old Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5-foot-7 and weighs about 216 pounds.
Police have advised the public not to attempt to apprehend or detain him.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Nassau County police or submit an anonymous tip through Nassau County Crime Stoppers. Tips can also be submitted by calling 1-800-244-TIPS (8477) or dialing 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
