 d as one of Forbes' Women to Watch in AI. At XLabs\, she furthered moonsho
 ot AI innovations with far-reaching impacts\, including advances towards c
 uring cancer. Her groundbreaking work on Project Ribo identified potential
  cures for 11 types of cancer in just 18 months. At Seldn\, an AI startup 
 she co-founded\, she led the development of predictive technologies that a
 ccurately predicted the rise of ISIS two weeks before The New York Times c
 oined the term. Dr. Dirks was also a founding member of Shell’s $1.5B ve
 nture capital group. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing and an M.S. in
  Nanotechnology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
